Child Witches
That there are child-witches should not be a debatable issue because it is simple to understand its existence. First, the witch-spirit is transferable or communicable, that is, it can easily be passed from one person to the other. Secondly, the spirit has no age discrimination - it goes into whoever it is administered to. The only resistance is possession of a stronger spirit in the individual eg The Holy Spirit. Thirdly, there are innumerable confessions by children of their heinous devilish practices via this power. The issue rather should be whether the society should reject or absorb them. On this matter, I am strongly of the opinion that they be should be spiritually rehabilitated and then absorbed. They can still be very productive in the society.
Rev. Fr. Patrick Udotai

Nigerian Roads
The state of the Nigerian roads is so worrisome. It so annoying that the leaders have failed us all or better still they do not feel what the masses feel and do not use the same roads as common Nigerians. Despite the systemic failure of the ruling class, they still make life so unbearable for the rest of us. They chase the common man out of the road each time they have cause to honour us with their arrogant presence on our roads. The loud sound of sirens is a good warning for any reasonable Nigerian to vacate the pot hole ridden roads for the irresponsible VIP who will not leave home on time for appointments. At times it is simply status symbol. One of the most painful area is ejigbo LCDA,under the ruling AC. Even the entrance of the LCDA secretariat is adorned with pot holes that ensures a daily traffic snarl at that point, wasting valuable man hour and unnessesary waste of fuel. Just for this reason , travelling through Ejigbo to Isolo is always a daily nightmare.
Another spot is the RANDUK filling station end of Oke Afa where the pot holes turn a journey of 5 minutes to average of 1 hour daily . The traffic at Jakande gate usually stretch up to Egbe bridge at times . Please, if there is anyway this could get to the governor or the chairman Ejibgo LCDA, PLEASE TELL HIM THAT WE WILL APPRECIATE HIM GIVING US SOMETHING TO CHEER THIS YEAR INSTEAD OF HIS PENCHANT FOR PROPAGANDA THROUGH HIS BANNERS PRAISING HIMSELF

Bayo Ohu:
In Nigeria, we sleep each night hoping to wake up into a day that heralds the New Nigeria - one devoid of corruption, bad leadership, insecurity etc but unfortunately, each new day in the last two decades has brought a worse revelation of these atrocities. The question on the minds of most Nigerians nowadays is when and how will it all end? When? Only Baba GOD knows! How? Since it's only GOD who knows the end even from the beginning, all of us as Nigerians who love Nigeria need to arise and invite the almighty GOD into the situation of our dear country. It takes GOD to remove a cabal that has so much engrained itself into the political fabric of a nation to the extent that the only agenda on the programme of their political machinery (a.k.a PDP) is to rule Nigeria for 60 years!

As we give GOD His pride of place in our affairs on one hand, on the other, let us develop our own political machinery to upturn theirs. He who does not stand up for something will fall for anything. Let us use what we have to get what we need - let us employ the power of internet and mobile phone through social networking to identify and promote a good leader to the position of the President of Nigeria in 2011. It is not too late yet!
Let's initiate and mobilise support for a movement like "Fashola for President" From what we have seen in Lagos, we are confident someone like this at the centre will transform Nigeria.

The mechanism? The nitty-gritty? Topic for another day.

Thank you.
-Daisi Omidiji

Gani Died
I cannot but pay tribute to a great soul, one of the very few who fought to make others better. It is rare in a life time to have two Gani Fawehinmis. It is not often in many generations to come across such a fearless defender of the masses. Yet in those rare gems like Gani, the human race draw inspiration and solace. It is in people like him that humanity sees hope and purpose.
Adieu, Gani Fawehinmi! Surely, the struggle continues, even in the heavenly realms. This time of a different nature.
Adieu!!

ASUU
The ASUU strike has lingered for so long like the power problem in this country everyone is pissed. I think the government should consider the demands, which are very moderate compared to their counterparts in other countries of Africa, and respond positively. its shocking that in a country where the president, the vice and the minister of education are all product of the University classrooms would have the University dons crying for very simple benefits. this is part of the failure of leadership in this country.- Rev. Fr. Patrick Udotai

Atlas Cove Jetty Attack
The Atlas Cove Jetty attack was the most politically insensitive action of the so called militants. The'd better started to MEND their ways. Lapodeji

Rice importation

There is no sense in importation. Nigeria is a blessed country in terms of natural resources, ability & capability to grow Rice in any part of the country. why should we be importing. Importing is a short-shadow and shallow idea and it will never be solution to the problem on ground. If the country we (Nigeria) wnated to be imprting from abandone agriculture where do we import from. Why can't government give subsidies to farmers as it is being done here abroad. - Tom, Canada.

EFCC boss
Me think we should not rush to conclusion as to the intention of the Prsident for removing the acting EFCC boss. How the new boss deals with the various cases before the commission in the days and weeks to come should guide our judgement, - Baba Ali, Sokoto
